For Linda King
I made this collage based on the beautiful photo of Linda King. She is an American sculptor, artist and poet. I love her writing and I've read all her chapbooks and memoirs. She was the girlfriend of American writer Charles Bukowski for several years in the early 1970s, making her way into his life and writing.
I don't think we should believe exactly everything Bukowski wrote, but he said that Linda King had a large ego and a flair for self-dramatization - sounds more like Buk himself, eh?
Linda told me the photo was taken earlier, when she was married to her first husband and lived in Hollywood.
Anyway, Linda & Buk were a great combo.

Brain Cell No. 1047
Here's the latest issue of mailart compilation "BRAIN CELL", from Japan.
Ryosuke Cohen has been doing these for 30 years. Mailart friends over the world send him their art, rubber stamp, artistamps, drawings etc and Ryosuke makes and sends out Brain Cell to all participants, every 10th day.
This time my contribution is a handcarved rubberstamp imprint. Try to spot it...
Hydra, Greece (take 31)
Found of Music
A new collage painting based on one of my found bits, a page from an old Greek book. Also an old trumpet rubber stamp.
I used an old sketch of a couple of stray cats from Hydra. The outlaw cats there love me because I'm really soft with them...
Watercolor, collage, ink, rubberstamp.
Size 28 x 38cm (11 x 15").
