Thunder and heavy rain all night but in the morning the wonderful warm Greek sun came back, just in time for coffee.

Here's an old but quick water color sketch from down in the port.

Jazz trumpeter and composer, and with a beautiful sound on his flugelhorn. Such a shame, he was only 49 years old.

Somewhere down the fantasy coast, at a place where the Ministry of Culture doesn't have to approve how you build and paint your houses.

From memory, my take on Mr. Koukoudakis' grocery store, on the street leading down to the port. Today the shop is run by the family and still a beautiful place but more modern. I remember we bought our first lemon tree here, twenty years ago. Koukoudakis delivered it on his boat from the mainland.

Yesterday we had snow here outside Stockholm. It's all melting now and we get the lovely brown mudlike feeling.

Happy Birthday Bengt Kirschon, 60 years young today! Playing his guitar in the Swedish band Madhouse.

He's also an ordinary member of the legendary poker dice club John Wesley Hardin Memorial Club.

One more somewhat abstract painting I did on Hydra last month, with some Greek colors. And the man walking to the ferry with his suitcase. Why didn't he let a donkey carry the heavy suitcase?

A mailart stampsheet with my painting of Henry Miller and the poet Katsimbalis visiting the painter Ghikas on Hydra in 1939.

I made this painting after reading Henry Miller's wonderful book "The Colossus of Maroussi", where he tells about this visit to Greece. Henry Miller's best book, I think.

This stampsheet was sent out to my mailart circles but I have a few left.
