Mulgrew Miller, the fine pianist, recently passed away. Here's a watercolor portrait I did once. It was used on the cover of Gerald Locklin's chapbook Two Jazz Poems, from Hemispherical Press. 


 

Joan Jobe Smith's latest book is "Charles Bukowski EPIC GLOTTIS: His Art & His Women (and me)". Published by Silver Birch Press in Los Angeles.

Lots of interesting reading from several contributors. Plenty of photos and illustrations. I have seven of my Bukowski drawings inside, as well as a portrait of Annie Menebroker.
